How to train a dog to defecate A simple training method

How to train a Shih Tzu? Don’t train in rough ways

Generally, dogs begin to defecate on their own between 3 and 8 weeks of age.

If the dog is not properly trained and guided by the owner during this critical period, it is likely that the dog will defecate in public.

It’s also the case that dogs misunderstand their place in the family.

If the dog thinks that he is the leader of the family and that he is responsible for his group, then he is likely to develop anxiety and stress.

So much so that he defecated everywhere and even had diarrhea.

If the owner criticizes the dog or overreacts at this point, the dog’s bowel disorder will become worse and worse.

In the dog’s mind, his job is to make his group happy.

Dogs, on the other hand, see the people they spend time with as part of the group, and if they are upset with their small group, especially their human friends, they will try to solve the problem by destroying the evidence.

Some of the most common problems are: defecating at home without warning.

Eat feces after defecation, have diarrhea, wet yourself.

How to deal with dog poop?

The problem of dogs defecating on the floor is a real pain in the ass, not to mention the fact that a dog stains the sheets or sofas or carpets in the house is infuriating and unacceptable.

If your dog defecates in the room, as its owner and responsible person, you will be the first to clean it up.

Let your dog know that you are his leader and in charge, and his anxiety will go away.

If you find your dog has eaten its own feces, be sure to divert your dog’s attention immediately after the next time he defecates and draw him somewhere else, such as a treat or toy.

When your dog is focused on food or toys, you can quickly clean up after him.

Also, add some pineapple and zucchini to your dog’s food, as pineapple and zucchini can make the poop taste very pungent, so your dog will be better off eating its own poop.

How to properly train a dog to relieve itself?

A dog’s excretory system doesn’t fully develop until 2-3 months later, and until then, dogs can’t hold their urine.

So VERY YOUNG puppies will pee when they feel the urge to pee, until they spin to find a place to go before moving on to defecation.

Be sure to watch for signs that your dog is trying to relieve himself in the morning and during dog feeding. For example, your dog is circling, sniffing around, etc.

When you see this, take your dog to a designated place to relieve yourself.

Due to the development of different puppies, the period of reaching this stage is also different.

A puppy within three months needs to be patient enough.

It’s like a child wetting the bed. It has to be endured for a while.

However, this does not mean THAT puppies should not be trained when they are less than three months old.

Puppies can be trained from the first day they arrive home.

1. Choose a location.

The proposal CHOOSES VENTILATED THE balcony with GOOD sex, such unapt HAVE very heavy urine SAO taste.

2. Set a marker.

Usually put thick newspaper, spread a little thicker, urine will be absorbed by the newspaper, will not flow to the ground.

Or buy a special dog toilet, when the dog wants to defecate, immediately put it in the dog toilet.

3. When the dog is assigned a place to defecate, it is necessary to clean the place where it has defecated with bleaching powder or biological washing powder as soon as possible, and try not to have residue.

4, as long as the dog found defecation, whether in the circle of preparation, or has begun to defecate, whether urine or stool, please immediately hold the dog to the designated position.

Please pay attention!

As soon as you find it, you should immediately carry it to the designated position!!

Even when holding and urinating, put it in a designated position and let it finish.

Let him know that the designated position is associated with excretion, and be sure to praise him after excretion.

For example, the dog is so good, loves a clean dog or a gentle stroke on his head.

This way it will know that excretion in your designated place will be praised and approved by you.

Of course, the most effective way is food, gluttonous is the dog’s nature, when it does a thing, you reward it immediately, it will deeply remember the next time to want food, need to do so.

After two to three weeks of doing this, the average dog will be able to defecate on a regular basis.

It is important to note that if you are using newspaper, when you change the newspaper after your dog has defecated, it is best to keep a piece of newspaper with a small amount of urine on top of the new newspaper.

This will help the dog identify the location of the defecation, and when the dog smells the smell of the past, it will be more likely to identify that as a good place to defecate.

With a dog toilet, the smell of urine won’t go away with a simple rinse, so there will be a residue that the dog can easily identify the next time he uses it.

5. Dogs don’t like to be told off.

Don’t scold the dog if it doesn’t defecate in the spot you designated.

You just need to silently help it clean up the poop.

The next time it wants to defecate, it will follow the above instructions.

Because peeing is also a form of dog expression, when dogs feel lonely or not appreciated, they will pee everywhere in protest, and I know cats do the same thing.

If you reprimand him at this time, he will become even worse and more confused about what to do.

6. In general, if you have enough time, it is best to take your dog out for a walk in the morning, middle and evening every day, so that the dog will get used to defecating outside and will not defecate in the house.

Taking your dog outside often will make him feel closer to you, keep him in a happy mood and become more obedient to his master.
