What if the dog doesn’t eat? What are the reasons for skipping meals

Dogs can’t talk, so many times they do things that humans can’t understand, like when a dog doesn’t eat.

Today we are going to see what dogs should do if they don’t eat.

How should we deal with this problem?

Dogs can skip meals for a variety of reasons, from illness to indigestion, which we can solve in the following ways.

1, feed the dog to eat sugar this method is a rural earthwork, but the effect is quite good.

We all know that the digestive tract of dogs is fragile, and there are often parasites. When there are few parasites, the dog will not be abnormal, but if the parasite is too much, the gastrointestinal tract is blocked, the dog will have a poor appetite and even do not eat.

In this case, we can force-feed the dog with granulated sugar mixed with food.

After about three days of repeated feeding, the dog will be able to eliminate the parasites and return to normal.

2, injection of drugs if the dog is fed with sugar, the dog still do not eat, no energy.

It is possible that the dog has contracted a virus, in which case medication is needed, usually gentamicin.

The injection must be done safely, preferably in the dog’s neck area, can prevent the bite.

If the dog is not eating for a long time, then use the above two methods to solve.

3. If we often eat a dish, it may taste good at the beginning, but it will be difficult to swallow after a long time. We would rather not eat the food and will not eat the dish again.

Some dogs will have a similar situation, often feed it the same food, it will get tired of eating, so don’t eat.

If the owner encounters this kind of situation, it is appropriate to change the dog’s diet, or directly starve it for a day, it will naturally eat.

4, the dog ate indigestible food the dog ate too much indigestible food will cause a burden to the stomach, it takes a few days to digest, so in the digestion of these days the dog is not willing to eat, in this case, the owner can properly feed some drugs to help the dog gastrointestinal tract digestion.

Now that you’ve shared so much, you know what to do when your dog doesn’t eat.
