How to train a teddy adult dog

After teddy dogs become adults, parents often need to spend more time to correct their habits, cultivate and train them. However, this does not mean that it cannot be trained. As long as parents invest more time and energy, and at the same time remain patient, they can train teddy dogs well. So, how to train a teddy adult dog? I believe it is also a concern of many friends, so I will share with you the relevant training methods below.

1. How to train an adult teddy dog?

Generally, puppies should start training 70 days after birth, and adult teddy dogs can start training immediately after they are initially familiar with the environment at home. Generally speaking, training is divided into life training and obedience training. The former has a fixed time to sleep, return to the kennel, and defecate at a fixed point, etc., while the latter is mainly the training of basic movements, such as sitting, standing, lying down and so on. At the beginning of training, you should first cultivate the dog to have a good living habit, and then start the movement training after consolidating.

2. Fixed-point toilet training For teddy dogs

fixed-point toilet training is a very important training. If you don’t develop this habit, you will defecate everywhere, which will make parents very big. At the beginning, you can choose to take your dog to defecate outdoors, about half an hour each time, every time you take your dog to a fixed place outdoors to defecate, it will get used to it after a long time. The same is true for indoor defecation training. Find a place for your dog to defecate at home, and lay a newspaper here as a toilet. Fifteen to thirty minutes after each meal, bring your dog here to defecate, and you can develop an indoor fixed-point size. convenient habit.

3. Training of basic movements For training of basic movements

gestures and passwords are required, so let the dog familiarize themselves with the meanings of these gestures and passwords. After getting familiar with it, start formal training, first issue the “sit down” password, and then let the dog stay in a sitting position. If it can’t do it or is disobedient, you can manually assist it to complete the action, while standing and lying down The principles of other actions are similar, and they also need to be combined with passwords and manual assistance to help them complete. After each action is done, food should be given as a reward in time.

The above is about how to train teddy adult dogs, I hope to help you. In fact, for adult teddy dogs, although they are older and more difficult to train, as long as they are patient and trained, they can still achieve good results.
