The feet are large and long, relatively flat, like the feet of a hare, with slightly separated toes; the toes are arched with thick and hard pads, and there are protective hairs between the toes. The feet are round or cat-like. The tail is relatively long and can reach the hock joint when it droops naturally. The coat on the tail is long and thick. When the dog is on alert, the tail is raised higher than the back or on the side of the back, and droops when resting.
