What is puli? What does puli look like?

What is puli?

The Puli (Hungarian Shepherd), also known as the Hugou, is a medium-sized dog, a shepherd dog, with an average height of 43.3 cm and a weight of about 13.6 kg. The striking appearance makes it impossible to confuse it with other breeds. The thick and messy fur covers the head like an umbrella, and the hair droops down to cover the whole body to the tip of the tail which is not curled. This rich state of hair makes it look larger than its actual size and looks extremely cute. This dog is sharp, moves quickly, and runs with a bouncy gait like a bouncing ball. Perhaps this trait was looked down upon by others a long time ago, but this dog’s dazzling errand work has been appreciated by shepherds .

What does puli look like?

The dog’s head is medium in size and in proportion to the body. Ears set slightly higher than eyes, medium in size, V-shaped, about half the length of the head. The eyes are almond-shaped and set darkly, with dark brown eyes and black (or dark blue-gray) eye rims. The nose at the end is of the right size and the nose is black. The back is level, strong and of medium length, with a slight sloping of the hips. The tail is turned up and integrated into the tail. The forelegs are straight and strong, with medium bone mass, strong and pliable. The feet are round and compact, with well-arched toes and thick pads. The foot pads support the entire body of this pollie. Footpads and toenails are black or dark blue-gray.
puli living habits

The puppies are rational and intelligent purebred dogs. They are naturally loving, intelligent, family-loving, get along well with other pets, and are especially loyal to their owners. They are good watchdogs. It is best to buy a puppy for this kind of dog, because it is rich in emotion and can be transferred over 3 years old.
puli feeding

In the process of feeding the puppies, water is absolutely indispensable. The breeder should always put a basin of clean water in a fixed place so that it can drink freely before and after eating and exercising. Especially in summer and autumn, the weather is hot, and the water in the body evaporates very quickly. If water is not replenished in time, it is easy to cause water shortage in the tissue, and even cause dehydration and affect the health of the dog. It is best to let the dog drink some after each daily exercise. Glucose water.
Generally, for growing puppies under 1 year old, the daily amount of calcium powder is about 1 teaspoon calcium powder per 2 dry grams of body weight. As the age increases, the dose of calcium powder should be increased proportionally. After 1 year of age, since the dog has entered the mature stage, the growth of teeth and bones has stabilized, and the requirement of calcium powder is relatively reduced. The dosage is about 1 teaspoon of calcium powder per 4.5 dry grams of body weight per day. However, there should be an appropriate amount of outdoor exercise every day, and it is irradiated by ultraviolet rays to facilitate the absorption of calcium.
