What is firemouth cichlid?

Firemouth cichlid, Cichlasoma meeki, is produced in Central America. The fish is more than 15 cm long, with a big head and a small body. The upper body is blue, and the lower body is fiery red from the chin to the abdomen. Adult fish are more bright and dazzling. . The body is strong and the dorsal fin has a charming brilliance. It is a ferocious fish and is generally raised in a naked tank. Like animal bait, it can live in any water quality, the water temperature is above 20 degrees, and the rock is an ideal habitat. Origin (country) Mexico and Guatemala. Also known as red-breasted perch.

What does a firemouth cichlid look like?

Crater, cichlids, and true cichlids are native to Mexico, North America. Guatemala craterfish have a spindle-shaped body, slightly flattened laterally, a fan-shaped caudal fin, a straight rear edge, and a body length of up to 16 cm. The body of the craterfish is light gray, and there are seven black horizontal thick strips in the body measurement. Its mouth and the front of the gill cover are bright red, so it is called the craterfish. There are dark green patches on the back of the cheeks surrounded by bright blue patches and streaks. The eye sockets are green, gleaming in the light. The fins are dark red with light blue stripes. The calamus is strong, has a large appetite and is easy to raise, and does not have strict water quality requirements and prefers neutral water.

Crater is an oviparous fish, reproduction is not difficult. The water temperature is about 25 degrees, the hardness is 6-8, and the pH is 6.5-7.5. Before breeding, the egg base should be placed in the breeding tank, and the breeding tank should be placed in a dark place, or the tank should be set up with paper to avoid light. Then select the broodstock l:1 and put it in the tank. This is that both male and female broodstock will have a bright marriage color, and the red in the front of the mouth and gills is brighter and continues to the abdomen. Open spawning, the eggs are sticky, about 9P400 grains are spawned each time, and the broodstock should be removed after spawning to avoid swallowing the eggs. The fertilized eggs hatch in 48 hours, and the larvae start to swim after 5 days.
Sexual maturity at six months of age. Fire mouth fish appear marriage color before spawning and breeding, and choose the broodstock with a body length of more than 10 cm. A small flowerpot is placed in the water tank as a breeding nest, the water temperature is kept at about 20 degrees, the water quality is slightly alkaline, and the hardness is about 8 degrees. A quiet environment is required. After spawning, the broodstock was fished out. A female fish can lay more than 200 eggs. Fertilized eggs hatched larvae after 4 days.

The calamus is a fish in the lower waters, with a strong body, not demanding water quality requirements, not choosing food, and easy to raise. However, the flamingo fish has a more irritable temperament, and it rampages in the aquarium, attacking other fish, and swallowing small fish, so it is not suitable to be mixed with other fish.
The calamus is a large tropical fish with bright colors. It has a large food intake and likes neutral water. The suitable temperature is 20-30 degrees Celsius, and the aquarium should be large. The calamus is not demanding on water quality, it can live in the water temperature of 20-30 degrees, and the optimum growth temperature is 23-25 degrees. Not choosing food, but love to eat animal bait.
