dutch shepherd living habits

The Dutch Shepherd has strong explosiveness, jumping ability and flexible body coordination in terms of athletic ability. During the competition, the jumping ability of the dog is assessed. Generally, the height of the jump is not less than 15 times the body height of the dog, and the width of the jumping obstacle is not less than 2.5 times the body height. The Dutch Shepherd is even more prominent in this regard. A well-trained Dutch Shepherd can climb over a height of 2.43 meters, and some even climb over a wooden wall with a height of 3.56 meters. This fully reflects the Dutch Shepherd’s flexible body coordination, super jumping ability and explosive power.
The specific embodiment of the athletic ability of the Dutch Shepherd mainly lies in its fast running speed, good coordination and strong ferocity. The time it takes for a Dutch Shepherd to run 100 meters in a straight line is 7 seconds, and the time it takes to accelerate from a standstill to 10 meters per second is even less, only 2 to 3 seconds, and the turns in the run do not need to be Slow down. And the use subjects that best reflect this ability are biting or hunting. E.g. The Dutch Shepherd quickly accelerates to top speed when it bites, and when it encounters an obstacle in the run, it turns quickly and goes straight to the target.

Dutch shepherd rearing

Due to the large amount of activity of the Dutch Shepherd, it needs a lot of meat nutritional supplements. And it is afraid of heat, should pay attention to cool environment and regular grooming of the coat.
Typically, Dutch Shepherd puppies should eat for 5-10 minutes. Leftovers should be thrown away after meals. Dutch Shepherd puppies must have their own utensils for eating and drinking, and they should be kept clean. Adequate, hygienic fresh water must also be provided to Newfoundland puppies.
Dutch Shepherd puppies under 3 months of age should be fed at least 4 times a day. For dogs with poor appetite, you can use the method of feeding times first, feeding good ones later, and feeding less frequently. Good first and then good can keep the dog’s appetite strong, and less frequent feeding can make the dog always feel full, not tired and picky eaters.
For puppies aged 4-6 months, the food intake increases, the body weight increases rapidly, and the daily required feed amount also increases, at least 3 times a day. Dogs after 6 months of age can be fed twice a day – the puppy‘s diet should be fed according to the original dog owner’s diet first, and then gradually changed.
At 8 months old, the large Dutch Shepherd is still growing rapidly at this age and still needs to eat a puppy’s diet for a long time. Puppies under 3 months should be fed porridge, milk or soy milk and add appropriate amount of chopped fish, meat and chopped cooked vegetables.
