What does an Australian Cattle Dog look like? Can work in harsh environments

Australian Cattle Dog, male dog – 45.7~55.9 cm, female dog – 43.2~483 cm, is a dog with a strong body, compact structure, agile action, and leadership thinking. They are bred from blue-grey Scottish Highland Collies and Dingoes, and are covered in two coats of coat, with the outer coat being medium length, straight, and of good texture, which does not change with the weather. Underneath is short, dense fluff. This dog has been bred more locally in Australia, and less imported from China. Many people only hear the name of this breed of dog, but have never seen the real face of Lushan.

The following will introduce the morphological characteristics of the Australian Cattle Dog: the head is broad, the ears are slightly arched, and the rest of the body is proportional and balanced.
Ears – Both ears are medium in size, broad at the base, well muscled, erect, moderately pointed. Eyes – The eyes are dark brown, oval in shape, of medium size, neither protruding nor sunken, exuding alertness and wit. Alert and curious eyes are its hallmarks. . The nose is black, matching the color of the body. The cheeks are well muscled, but neither rough nor overtly prominent. The forehead is strong, thick and well developed. Teeth—Teeth sound and strong, regularly arranged, in a scissors bite, with lower incisors closed behind to reach upper incisors, and neither protruding nor protruding.

Neck: The neck is fairly strong and powerful, of medium length, widening from the throat down and arching toward the body.

【Body】The straight line from the front of the sternum to the buttocks is the length of the body, and the length of the body is greater than the height at the shoulders, and the ratio is about 10:1. Topline level, back strong, ribs moderately curved, rib dome (not broad) posteriorly. Chest deep and muscular, medium broad. The waist is broad and muscular. There is a deep flank joint between the front and rear quarters.

【Tail】The tail hangs down naturally along the sloping buttocks, with a small hook upturned at the end of the tail, the length of which reaches the joint. It can be lifted up when exercising or excited, and its tail should be perpendicular to the ground.

【Foot】The feet are rounded, with short toes, strong, arched and compact. The pads are hard and thick, and the claws are short and strong. The Australian Cattle Dog is regarded as a rare breed for ranchers, cattle, and property, and is an ideal working dog. Why is there such a high praise? It turns out that Australian Cattle Dogs are energetic, durable and versatile, alert, resourceful, brave, honest, suspicious of strangers, and absolutely loyal to their duties.
